A Pennsylvania Palace

A Pennsylvania Palace

When you think of moving to Pennsylvania, you probably aren’t thinking of palaces – are you? Well, one of the biggest and most expensive houses in the state is located in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania and it can’t be described as anything other than a palace.

The palatial estate is a sprawling 22,000 square feet and is on the market for almost $15 million – $14.9 million to be exact. The house has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms – just imagine if you had to clean that whole house! In addition to the bedrooms and bathrooms, there are lavish living spaces, carved moldings, walnut paneling, and travertine flooring. Oh, and the ceilings are Venetian plaster crisscrossed with exposed walnut beams.

If you want to move into a decadent house, this beauty might just be it, and we haven’t even gotten started on the master wing of the home. One could describe the first-floor of the master wing as “presidential” as it has a first-floor executive office suite. There is also a sauna, a steam shower, a Jacuzzi, and a gym. The master suite itself is also pretty amazing – a sitting area, balcony, and a third-floor retreat.

The house is perfect for anyone who appreciates the finer things – a billiard room and wine cellar complete the scene. But, there is also a children’s wing which has not only a basement playroom but also an ice cream bar! Can anyone say, “sugar rush?”

Sitting on 1.86 acres, the house located at 1211 Mirabeau Lane is perfect for anyone who wants to move into a real Pennsylvania palace!
