Today marks the 10th anniversary that our world changed. America and the Twin Towers were attacked and lost were just as many heroes as were born that day. Rescue crews around the city, state of New York and County of the United States of America were called upon for support and assistance; our government and leaders were called upon for assurance and answers. The US was in a state of disbelieve that such a terrible act of terrorism occurred on our homeland. Ten years ago today, our lives and society changed.
Since those changes after 9/11 many wonder what it will be like in the future; however one thing those of us never have to wonder about is where we were when the world stopped turning, that September day. It’s difficult to image the impact of such a tragedy in U.S. history, but we are living it today.
Please take a moment to think about, remember and thank those who protect our country and to reflect on those many innocent lives that were lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who perished, and the families who carry on their legacy to this day.
