There have been rumors over the past few weeks that a celebrity couple is moving to the English county of Herefordshire, and those rumors have increased to fever pitch over the course of the last few days.
The glamorous celebrity couple that is believed to be intending to move to the area is model Liz Hurley and former Australian cricket star Shane Warne, who are rumored to have paid big money in order to purchase Donnington Hall, which is situated near Ledbury. Donnington Hall was for sale on the real estate market for a hefty £6 million.
The couple has been keeping mum about the proposed relocation, but Warne, the Australian bowler who took 708 Test wickets over the course of a glittering cricketing career, was reported to have put his home in Melbourne in Australia on the market this week. Donnington Hall would certainly make a fine home for the celebrity pair; it boasts 13 bedrooms as well as a tennis court, 21 acres of woodland, housekeeper accommodation and a fishing lake.
Warne and Hurley first came to the attention of Herefordshire residents last November, where the pair were spotted stopping off at Gregg’s Bakery in Ledbury. The local newspaper reported that Warne bought two sausage rolls and Hurley apparently purchased a custard slice, sparking a perhaps intentionally humorous but nonetheless furious debate on the paper’s internet site as to who actually bought what.
