Ben Stiller has put his home in New York City on the market for a cool $9.6 million. The star of comedy movies such as There’s Something About Mary (and many others) and his actress wife Christine Taylor are looking to move out of their lavish duplex in Manhattan, and the place has already been attracting the interest of potential buyers from financial gurus who have families that are in the market for a luxurious and laidback lifestyle.
The star couple is, however, expecting to make a loss on the property in the course of relocation, having paid $10 million for the place four years ago back in 2008. “They love real estate and enjoy moving every now and then,” a source allegedly told the New York Times. The house comes with no less than five bedrooms and bathrooms, an enormous living room, modern interiors and a media screening room in which Stiller, Christine and their seven-year-old son Quinlan and ten-year-old daughter Ella have enjoyed watching films together.
Potential buyers of the star couple’s home who are feeling particularly lazy of an evening might also be interested in the duplex’s lift, while fashionistas will adore the master bedroom’s matching walk-in wardrobes and the cherry wood walls, as well as the silk carpet and the spa bathroom that even comes with mosaic tiles.
The property also has room for staff, with maid’s quarters, a separate service entrance, laundry room, and two beautifully decorated bedrooms for children.
