Capital Safety is to relocate its headquarters from London to Bloomington in the United States. The safety equipment company made the announcement on Monday 1st October that it intends to move its global headquarters from offices in London to Bloomington in the state of Minnesota.
The relocation will see around 12 workers shifted to the Twin Cities area, placing them near to the primary manufacturing facility of Capital Safety, which is situated in Red Wing, according to company officials. The Red Wing plant employs around 450 people in total.
Capital Safety is responsible for the manufacture of lifelines, full body harnesses and other kinds of safety equipment, especially for employees who work in construction or those who operate in high places, such as window washers. “Moving the company’s headquarters to Minnesota is a logical choice for us,” says the chief executive officer of Capital Safety, Stephen Oswald. “We already manufacture most of our products in the US, with the majority coming from our facility in Red Wing.”
Oswald went on to note that the new office will be able to provide the company with the kind of proximity and flexibility that it requires in order for it to be able to continue the successful growth of its business on a global scale. The new headquarters of Capital Safety will be situated in Bloomington at 7900 International Drive. The company claims to employ 1,200 workers all over the world.
