If you are looking into moving to Massachusetts, what cities have you thought of? If you’re moving with your family, there are a lot of things to consider – schools, good neighborhoods, safety, and convenience.
One really great place to move with the kids is Marlborough, Massachusetts. The city of almost 40,000 is located to the west of Boston, just outside of Worcester. It was incorporated about 350 years ago, so there is a lot of history in Marlborough. In fact, the city is known for having the oldest inn still operating in the United States. This fact seems to only add to the city’s charm.
Obviously, as you consider moving to any town, you will want to know what types of employment opportunities are available. Marlborough is home to several large companies, including Fidelity Investments, Compaq, and Raytheon. Though the country seems to still be in economic crisis, there are some really good employment opportunities in the Marlborough area.
Aside from the great employment opportunities in Marlborough, the town is great for the whole family. With decent schools and plenty of recreational activities (swimming, boating, hiking, and the like), we’re sure the whole family will find something they like.
Currently, the median family income in Marlborough, Massachusetts is $93,613 and the homes are quite affordable. So, if you are moving to Massachusetts in the near future, consider this city. Oh, and you might want to check out Attleboro as well.
