The word of the day should be “girly” when it comes to the house actress Kirstie Alley has just listed on the market. If you are a real girly-girl, you’ll want to move in right away. The home is filled with floral chintz, pinks, mint greens, and plenty of lace.
Decorated for the ultimate tea party, Alley’s house is reminiscent of a large dollhouse with bubblegum pink walls in the kitchen, vintage wallpaper, and flouncy window treatments. Oh, and did we mention the oodles and oodles of floral pillows?
In addition to the frilly décor, the house has plank hardwood floors, beamed ceilings, and spectacular views. And at the listing price, it should! The next person to move in might want to do a little redecorating, but won’t have to spend a lot of time dealing with the floors, windows, or ceiling.
Sitting on 16 acres and located in Islesboro, Maine, the house is listed at $2,350,000 and has 5 bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms. When Alley moved into the house in 2003, she paid $1,150,000. Though described more as a cottage, the property boasts 2,000 square feet, which is pretty sizeable.
The neighborhood is a high-end vacation spot where other stars enjoy relaxing. Nearby vacationing neighbors include John Travolta and Kelly Preston. We don’t know exactly why Alley wants to move on from this wonderful vacation home, but something tells us she might just be a little tired of all the pink.
