Pestmaster Services, which is based in California, has relocated the operations of its corporate headquarters from Bishop in California to Reno. The firm manages all of its corporate functions from the brand new location that it has decided to move to, including the franchising, and is also intending to create 25 new jobs over the course of the next five years. Local business leaders have welcomed Jeff Van Diepen, the president of Pestmaster Services, during a luncheon at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino for Western Nevada’s Economic Development Authority.
Pestmaster Services specializes in sustainable and green solutions for pest management when it comes to both commercial and residential locations. The company bought a warehouse and a 12,200 square foot office situated on South Virginia Street in Reno, which is an addition to an existing service center that was already operating in downtown Reno. Avison Young, a local brokerage firm, assisted the firm with its real estate requirements. Pestmaster has operations in 14 different states across the United States, both franchised and company owned, and has to date hired 13 employees in Reno. The company intends to expand this number to 25, all of who will receive benefits, across the course of the next half-decade. The firm is also intending to connect with the local university and wider community as it adjusts to operating in the Greater Reno-Sparks-Tahoe area. The capital investment and job creation from the new headquarter operation is expected to generate approximately $10.5 million in terms of economic impact to the region within the next five years.

Headquarter operations and business services are crucial to the three-year strategic plan that EDAWN has, with the creation of jobs in Greater Reno-Sparks-Tahoe and the business-friendly taxes and regulations making the region more appealing for businesses to move their headquarters to.
