Ed Sheeran is to come to the United States. The Lego House hitmaker is intending to move into a property situated in Tennessee after turning down the opportunity to spend time in Los Angeles and New York. This is due to the fact that he thinks there are just too many douchebags in the US’ big cities and he would much rather have somewhere to relax in the country.
“I’m moving to the States for a bit,” Sheehan said. “I love New York but it’s too similar to London. I still don’t own a place in London, I own one in the country in England because I like having the escape. I wouldn’t want to be in the city. LA is cool but you find a lot of douchebags there. I’d rather be surrounded by people in cowboy hats that spit tobacco.”
As well as his impending relocation, the British musician is scheduled to support his good gal pal Taylor Swift when she goes on her 56 date Red tour, which is scheduled to start in March and will see them taking in 36 arenas and nine stadiums all around the United States.
In amongst this stream of gigs, the 21-year-old is planning to both write and record his second album, with a February 2014 release date in mind. Sheeran claims to already have approximately 26 songs lined up for his next album, and he intends to keep writing during the nine months that he is on the road.
