Spring clean ready for a spring sale

The days are starting to get longer and the very first bulbs in the garden are starting to sprout, which can only mean that spring is finally on its way.  One of the things that spring is famous for is making a move.  With both buyers and sellers thinking the same thing and taking advantage of the change of season, competition can become pretty fierce when it comes to trying to sell your home.

The good news is that, as a seller, you can gain a competitive edge over other sellers on the market and attract potential buyers to your property just with a little bit of common sense and a clear mind.

One very good way to stand out from the crowd is to indulge in a little mini-makeover of your home – one that costs almost nothing and yet could make all the difference in the long run.  Clutter control is one good tip for helping to spruce up your home prior to a hopeful relocation.  Spring is the ideal time to have a clear-out and create some space – or at least the illusion of space – in your home.  Pack away any possessions that could make your home look cluttered when potential buyers are viewing your property.

A fresh lick of paint inside is always a good idea, and the exterior of your property should also be considered.  Check and repair any fences, clear the paths of weeds, and clean the window panes.  Curb appeal is the key to first engaging with any prospective buyers.
