Not everyone can buy a new house and move in before they sell their old one, but Katy Perry and Russell Brand sure can. It hasn’t been since like 2002 or 2003 that us regular folks could do the same. Must be nice, right? Celebrity relocations are so interesting!
The dynamic duo – she a cute pop singer and he a raunchy comedian – have just bought their newest residence in Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip area. The house, which previously belonged to Daniel Laikin of “National Lampoon” production fame, sold for $6.5 million. The happy couple is set to move in pretty soon.
Boasting 8,835 square feet, this Sunset Strip house is no little love nest. It sits on just about three acres, has a great view, seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a rock garden, and a pool. Oh, and it sure is a definite upgrade from their Los Feliz home, which is still on the market for just under $4 million. It hasn’t had too many bites though they moved out a while ago.
These two homes aren’t the only properties on the Perry-Brand books. They also have a $3 million penthouse in New York City’s swanky TriBeca neighborhood. We’re kind of wondering where they will move permanently.
Right now, Brand is on location shooting scenes for Tom Cruise’s new movie, “Rock of Ages” while Perry tours the world on her “Teenage Dream” pop music tour.
