If you are looking for a storage facility to store your goods, there are a number of things that you need to take into consideration with regard to where the facility is located.
One thing that you need to think about is just how far away the storage facility of the moving company is from your current location and/or where you are making a move to. If you are intending to visit the storage facility on a regular basis, it is a very good idea to make sure that you use a storage facility that is in very close proximity to you. It could very quickly become a serious chore to have to drive to the facility every time that you want or need something contained within if the facility is too far away.
It is also a good idea to check out the reputation of the neighborhood in terms of safety. A storage facility that is situated within a neighborhood that has a very high crime rate can be a great temptation for thieves in the area, even if there are adequate security measures in place such as electronic systems, foot patrols and perimeter fencing.
It might also be a good idea to see how close the storage facility is situated in relation to places such as college campuses, military bases and apartment complexes, as this increases the likelihood that the facility will see a great deal of traffic around it and units might fill up fast. This could be a concern if you were to find that you needed extra space.
