Usher’s stepson in hospital after boating incident

Usher’s stepson in hospital after boating incident

Prayers are with Usher from his fans, family and friends after his stepson was involved in a boating accident on Friday.  The accident occurred on Lake Lanier in Georgia.  He was riding an inner tube when a Jetski struck him.  A 38-year-old man, according to the reports, drove the other vehicle.

Kyle Glover is the son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster.  He was sitting in the inner tube with a 15-year-old girl and was being pulled by a boat.  The Jetski hit Kyle in the head, leaving him in critical condition.  Unfortunately he was unresponsive when he was pulled out of the water.  The girl also suffered injuries, although they are apparently not as severe as Usher’s stepson.

Alcohol was not part of the incident, according to officials.  There has been no decision on whether charges will be filed.  Usher has been in a custody fight for his stepson since the divorce from Foster.  Usher chartered a plane to go to his stepson’s side immediately upon hearing of the accident and his condition.

Many are hoping for the stepson’s quick recovery, and are awaiting further news of his condition.  As of yet no details have been released other than that he was struck on the head. This can be extremely serious, as it can lead to permanent brain injury, a long-term coma, and many other issues.  The hope is that after resting and time to heal, Kyle will make a full recovery.
