Orlando in central Florida is a sprawling metropolis and is the 80th largest city in the US. Orlando, once just sparse scrubland, is now a major business center and global tourist destination. This is hardly surprising, as annually, millions of vacationers, from both the US and overseas, flock to Orlando to lap up the excitement of the city and to luxuriate in one of its many theme-park vacation homes or in state of the art hotel rooms in one of their many five star hotels.
The weather could not be more perfect, as Orlando enjoys almost all-year-round sunshine. Tourists are also tempted by its offering of dozens of theme parks, the most famous being Walt Disney World Resort followed by Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando. Visitors can also enjoy countless amusement parks, golf courses and theaters, not to mention a buzzing nightlife. Orlando is a shopper’s paradise with several malls and premium outlets such as Burberry and Georgio Armani.
As Orlando is easily reached by major highways and two airports, a stay in Orlando is not to be missed. Depending on their budget, tourists are spoilt for choice when it comes to the type of vacation accommodation to choose from – there are cute condos to rental homes with their own swimming pool to five star hotels with top-notch rooms and cutting edge amenities.
Whether you want round-the-clock excitement or just want to relax, this city truly caters to all types of visitors.
