Ever heard of the Wal-Mart rule when it comes to pricing your house for sale? OK, so realtors may not necessarily call the practice the “Wal-Mart” rule, but it is pretty common when you want to price your house to sell. Still confused?
If you want to sell your house fast and move out right away, you might want to price your house with an amount ending in the number “9” rather than “0.” Some people call it the Wal-Mart rule because it is reminiscent of bargain pricing – think $9.99. That’s less than ten bucks, so it’s a steal, right?
Well, “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi broke that rule – so she must not be in a hurry to move out of the house or sell if quickly. She listed her Studio City, California abode for a cool $10 million.
But we think people looking to move to Studio City might not really be too worried about the price. The recently remodeled and fully furnished 7,600 square-foot house sits on 3.5 acres and offers spectacular views of both the city and the mountains. Along with the views, the house boasts a 20-foot tall river rock fireplace, an infinity pool, and a solarium.
The house is ready for any family to move in – with five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms, there’s plenty of space. So what are you waiting for? The house is just waiting for the right people to move in!
