Bloom and Kerr plan New York move

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are planning to relocate to New York.  The British actor and his Australian model wife, together with their son Flynn who is just 17 months old, are planning an extended move to New York City following his decision to accept the part of Romeo in a brand new Broadway interpretation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

British tabloid newspaper The Sun was apparently told by a source: “Both Orlando and Miranda’s jobs take them all over the world, so it’ll be nice for him to be in one place for a bit.  This is a true commitment to spending some quality time together as a family.”

The celebrity couple had been previously been residing in Hollywood, but may well have been unsettled and made the relocation decision following an unfortunate incident involving a naked man being arrested outside their mansion.  The unidentified man was apparently high on drugs and when police attempted to place him under arrest he tried to avoid the officers by diving head first into bushes.

The officers had to put on black gloves before they were eventually able to successfully wrestle the man to the ground, after which he was handcuffed with his hands behind his back before being driven away.  It is uncertain who alerted the police to come to the LA neighborhood, which is near to the homes of the likes of Laura Dern, Will Ferrell, Jason Statham and Charlize Theron.
