Celebrities buy real estate

There have been some big moves in the celebrity real estate field of late, with star couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski buying a home in Ojai in California, Sheryl Crow listing her compound in the Hollywood Hills, and Kevin James having paid out some serious money for a home in Florida.

Just as actress Reese Witherspoon prepares to move out of Ojai, superstar couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski is moving in, having purchased an environmentally friendly estate for the sum of $2.15 million, a report by TMZ and property records confirm. Blunt (The Five Year Engagement, The Devil Wears Prada) married Krasinski (The Office) two years ago back in 2010, with the latter having just recently sold a property in West Hollywood for $880,000 and also owning another property in the same area, which he bought in early 2009 for $1.857 million. The couple’s new home in Ojai was listed originally for $2.494 million and features four bedrooms and 4,177 square feet of space, and is powered by solar energy.

Sheryl Crow, following relocation to Tennessee, has finally listed her home in Hollywood for sale, seeking $15.95 million for the property that consists of 11 acres and in 2011 was featured in Architectural Digest. The property includes a four-bedroom Spanish Colonial property built in 1924 and a three-bathroom Craftsman guesthouse, as well as a two-bedroom bungalow from 1885.

Meanwhile King of Queens comic actor Kevin James has paid $18.5 million for a new home located in Delray Beach in Florida, which includes eight bedrooms and 1.85 acres of landscaped grounds.
