Cheech Marin Moving Out of Malibu

Cheech Marin Moving Out of Malibu

‘Dave?  Dave’s not here!’

Yeah, we’re referencing Cheech and Chong.  Why?  Cheech Marin, one half of that dynamic duo, is selling his house and moving out of Malibu.  The funny man, actor, and art collector has recently put his spacious Malibu beach house on the market and we bet it will move pretty fast.

Wondering how much he’s asking?  Just under $6 million for the whole kit and kaboodle.  So, if you’ve got about $6 million to buy a new house and hire some movers, we say go for it!

You may remember Marin from Cheech and Chong, but also from various television shows including “Nash Bridges.”  He also played Hurley’s father in the popular TV series “Lost.”  Of course he starred in the popular Cheech and Chong movies (“Up in Smoke”) and other feature films throughout the years.

Robert Gilbert designed the house back in 1929, and it’s a real catch.  In fact, you could say it was built during the heyday of the area’s most fantastic homes.  Situated on a low bluff, the property has almost 150 feet of beachfront space.  The main house has three bedrooms and is riddled with custom woodwork throughout.  So, when you move in, you’ll have plenty of space for your friends to come visit.

With an open floor plan and walls of glass doors, you can practically see the Pacific from every angle of the home.  Anyone who takes a look at the house will want to move in right away.  Other amenities and features within the home include ceilings with high beams, a flagstone patio deck, a detached three-bedroom guesthouse, a gym, a music room, and stained glass windows.
