We have news to report on yet another hotel renovation! The Best Western Genetti Hotel and Conference Center is slated for a $2 million renovation, which includes an upgrade to a ‘plus’ designation.
The hotel has 72 rooms that have already been renovated and upgraded with new lamps, furniture, drapes, and mattresses. Each guest room now has cutting edge amenities, including big-screen LCD TVs, computer-controlled AC and heating, bi-fold mirrored closet doors and granite vanities.
The interior of the Genetti Hotel isn’t the only part of the hotel renovation – the exterior is getting some work done as well. There will be new automatic entry doors, repairs to the parking lot, and a covered pool area. Other features will include new carpeting in the ballrooms, ceiling upgrades, new curtains and wall coverings. Part of the hotel renovation will also include a lobby expansion that will feature a fireplace and a business center. Other improvements will be made to the hotel’s façade and landscaping.
So far, about two-thirds of the hotel renovation is finished and the project management team expects that the entire project will be finished by the end of the year. This renovation project is actually a long time coming – the last modernization was done about 15 years ago on the hotel, which has been open since 1963.
If you’ve stayed at the hotel since this project started and have seen some of the changes, we want to know!
