Former Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl went from being a newly married TV actress to being a bona fide movie star and mother of two living in the Los Angeles home she purchased not long after her wedding five years ago back in 2007. Now the 34-year-old actress and her musician husband Josh Kelley, together with their two children, are to move on from the 3,690 square foot, four bedroom abode, which is situated in the neighborhood of Los Feliz in Los Angeles, and have put the place up for sale priced at a cool $2.659 million.
The Southern Colonial home features wooden floors, a living room fireplace, large verandahs, lush gardens, a spa-style master bath and a gourmet kitchen complete with top-of-the-range stainless steel appliances.
“Katie put a lot of money in the house and it’s in beautiful condition,” said listing agent Dorothy Carter from Keller Williams Realty. “It’s private and gated with a beautiful pool and would be perfect either as an entertaining house for a couple or as a family home.”
Although there has been no word as to where the celebrity couple’s move will see them end up, the Los Feliz neighborhood has been increasing in popularity with celebrities of late. “Young Hollywood loves this area,” says Carter. “They like the fact that they can go out there and people don’t bother them. They can disappear into the neighborhood and aren’t hounded by the paparazzi.”
