We all know that former President Bill Clinton is from Arkansas, but do you know what else will be able to claim the same in the near future? A Briggs Passport and Visa Expeditors, that’s who. The company will be moving its corporate headquarters from Washington, DC to Little Rock.
The company, which you may have heard of, is a company that secures passports and travel visas for international travelers and has 17 offices across the United States. The Little Rock headquarters will soon be staffed by about 20 individuals, which would move the number of Arkansas employees up to about 40.
Back in June 2010, the company opened a client service center that employs the other 20 people. Despite the hurting economy, it looks like A Briggs is moving in the right direction. It is a strong company that offers a solid service.
A Briggs Passport and Visa Expeditors was founded in 1987 and now provides services to more than 1,000 corporations throughout the world. Clients often include major medical centers, accounting firms, universities, government agencies, and non-profits. The company works with the U.S. Passport Agency as well as foreign embassies in a consulting capacity.
It doesn’t look like any employees already working at other A Briggs locations will be forced to relocate since none of their other locations are shutting down. This is good news for the economy in Arkansas – the more companies that move into the area, the more people will be getting jobs locally!
