Moving a bathroom

Moving a bathroom

One of the most difficult tasks you are likely to face during a move is the packing of your bathroom.  There are a lot of accessories and items in a bathroom that need to be sorted and then placed carefully inside sturdy boxes.

One important tip is to sort out the items in your bathroom before you begin packing for the move.  If your intention is to purchase new soaps, shampoos and toothpaste for the bathroom of your new home, you can get rid of the old ones.  Typically that is not a practical option.  A bathroom is also usually filled with a lot of bottles of different things, and these need to be sorted out.  The items you use every day should be set aside, and bottles that are empty or filled with old contents should be thrown away.

You will need to make a decision about which bathroom accessories you wish to take with you as part of the move and which it would be better to dispose of.   Group items in the same category together and have boxes for perfumes, shower gels, shampoos, body creams, soaps and hair balsams.  It is also a good idea to dedicate specific boxes to your bathroom cleaning supplies.

When it comes to packing the bathroom items, set aside medicine and any items you use every day.  Liquids should be kept in waterproof containers, and medicines and first aid kit items should be stored in a small box or plastic bag.
