Blue Mesa Grill in Dallas is to move from its current restaurant site in Addison – its first – to a brand new location. The restaurant served its final meals in its current locale of 5100 Belt Line Road during brunch on 21st July. The new location is situated across the street at 14866 Montfort Drive and is to open its doors on 26th July at 11am. The restaurant is in the midst of celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and intends to make use of the new 9,700-square-foot space that it is making a move to in order to update itself.
The brand new location will include private dining rooms, a central tequila bar, a patio complete with fire pit, and a conference room. The new space is around 900 square feet smaller than that of the original site; however, the chief executive officer of Blue Mesa Grill, Jim Baron, says that the cost savings mean that that the relocation will be worth it.
“We felt it was a better location that would essentially give us a brand new restaurant,” Baron notes. “The costs to run it were going to be lower too, so even with the cost of doing the remodel we would run at lower cost.” Baron adds that the brand new location will also give the restaurant increased visibility as a freestanding restaurant due to the fact that it will now be situated on the Parkway outside the Village.
