Did you know that you can get a taste of Victorian London in Dallas? The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is currently hosting the International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes, which runs until May 10th this year.
Sherlock Holmes is one of the most popular and most enduring fictional detectives ever created and this exhibition is designed to appeal to fans of all ages. The interactive exhibition gives you the chance to solve a mystery in the same way as Sherlock.
Included in the exhibition are items such as original manuscripts, Victorian publications, artifacts from Victorian times, and a large number of costumes and props that have featured in some of the films and TV series about the detective. Individuals who take part will get to use some of the techniques and tools that were used by the character.
The cost of a ticket for an adult to see the exhibition is $12 and for those aged between 2 and 17 it is $10; however, a ticket for the general exhibit hall must also be purchased, which costs $17 and $11 respectively. There are large discounts available for those who are members of the museum, with general entry free and a cost of only $8 for an adult to see the Sherlock Holmes exhibition. Membership of the museum is worth considering if you live close by, as there are some great things to see in the permanent collection and regular temporary exhibitions that really capture the imagination.
