Emma Benton says that she is looking forward to having her old friend and ex-Spice Girls co-member Victoria Beckham back living in the United Kingdom. The former Baby Spice also dismissed as ridiculous any notion that there was or ever had been a rift between Beckham and the rest of the Spice Girls as she prepares to move back home.
Rumors about the Beckham clan’s relocation back to the United Kingdom were fuelled by reports that David and Victoria had had their two sons enrolled at an exclusive school in London.
“I love it when she’s home because that’s the time we get to hang out,” Bunton says. “So yeah, I’m looking forward to that, her coming back.”
Rumors had circulated that Beckham was becoming isolated from the rest of her former band mates after she did not appear on the red carpet with the other girls at the premiere of their group musical Viva Forever! Beckham made a separate arrival at the event from the rest of the group and is reported to have also partied separately from Bunton, Mel B, Melanie C and Geri Halliwell following the premiere.
Bunton, however, says that the claims are ridiculous. “At the end of the day she came with her family, and it’s silly,” Bunton notes. “People always say things, don’t they?”
Bunton is currently working as the host of the Heart Breakfast Show alongside DJ Jamie Theakston, and says she would love for the other Spice Girls to come in as guests.
