Kobe Bryant scores 26 points in LA game

Kobe Bryant is in the news again for his mad skills on the basketball courts.  The Lakers game went into double overtime in the fixture against Oklahoma City Thunder.  Kobe Bryant scored 26 points for the team and six of those were made during the overtime.  The victory was 114 to 106 in favor of the home team.

There was a bit of trouble on the courts though, as one player was ejected for an elbow in James Harden’s head.  Harden was celebrating his recent dunk and the earning of 14 points when he was benched due to his head being knocked about.

Paul Gasol was another great player on the courts with 20 points.  Many of those were rebounds along with nine assists.  The Lakers had to make a comeback from the beginning of the game. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook missed most of their shots.  Durant is a well-known player for the Thunder, as is Westbrook, but they fell behind in the Western Conference this season.

World Peace – the player that was ejected – changed his name a year ago.  He has been known to cause trouble before, such as a brawl that got him an 86 game suspension.  He was responsible for Harden going down on the courts.  Obviously Kobe Bryant took most of the plaudits in this game because of his skills and his made shots.  It will be interesting to see what he will have to offer in other games.
