Moving to North Windham

Anyone moving to Maine with their family probably should have a short list of areas that might be worth considering for their new home. North Windham happens to be one of these cities.

North Windham, Maine is more of a village. It is located just outside Portland, a larger bustling town. The population is quite small – just under 5,000 – which means that anyone moving to North Windham should be prepared for that real small town charm. If you happen to be moving to a small town from a larger city, it is a good idea to really be ready for it!

The village itself has a median family income of about $65,000 and an incredibly low crime rate. The schools in the area are actually above average, which is great news for any family moving to the area with small children. The Windham Raymond School District is one of the best in the state.
