Celebrities seem to be selling up and moving house at a rate of knots these days, and now an even more unlikely big name will be joining the mass relocation – none other than Barbie! The iconic doll is set to sell her house in Malibu, California, and sources suggest she could be making a move ‘down under’ to sunny Australia with her pink suitcase.
Barbie’s Malibu house spreads over three levels and offers one bedroom, one bathroom, its own lift, and room for a convertible out the front. On the downside, however, it does offer just three walls as opposed to the more traditional four, which might make convincing buyers a little difficult and put the skates on her relocation.
Josh Altman, a celebrity real estate agent whose previous clients include the Kardashians and Britney Spears, is to handle the sale of the beachfront property, which is expected to go on the market for no less than $15 million. Being a typical real estate agent, the fact that the Dreamhouse is – fairly obviously – not actually real is not stopping Altman from touting it as “one of the most desirable addresses in the world.”
Speculation is rife that Barbie may have become the latest victim of the US housing crash, with others suggesting that she may be on her way to Australia. Sun, sand and surf could prove a tempting proposition for the famous doll, says Amanda Allegos, a spokeswoman for Mattel Australia.
