Packing a computer

Packing a computer

Moving is always a stressful time, and making sure that valuable items are packed safely and securely is always high on most people’s list of priorities.  These days there are few items more valuable than your computer, which is why I’m going to give you a bit of advice today on how to go about packing a computer in the correct manner so that it will arrive at your new home safe and sound after your move.

In order to pack a computer you will need a few items, namely a box, sharpie, a few old clothes and some packing tape.  The very first thing to do is to make use of those old clothes in order to line the box in which you intend to transport your computer.  The box should be very well padded so that your computer does not move around when you put it inside.  This is of vital importance when it comes to protecting your computer during the relocation. Once this has been done, I suggest that you use packing tape in order to tape up the box for the purpose of providing a bit of extra added security.  The last thing you want is for the box to open during transit and for the computer to fall out and end up being damaged.

The last thing I would recommend is to label the box so you will know where to find your computer among all your other boxes.
