Ricki Lake is to move to her “paradise” in Ibiza. The former actress and talk show host is planning to move with her husband Christian Evans and her sons, 15-year-old Milo and 13-year-old Owen, from her previous marriage to Rob Sussman.
The 44-year-old began making changes in her life around ten years ago, when she left New York, Sussman and her part on The Ricki Lake Show. She began dating Evans two years ago in 2011. The couple became engaged in the same year and tied the knot in April 2012.
Ricki is set to go on vacation to Ibiza and is hoping to make a permanent relocation to the place where she and her new husband both became engaged and went on their honeymoon.
“We are relocating [to Ibiza] as soon as we possibly can,” Ricki informed The Metro newspaper. “We got engaged there, we went on our honeymoon there – it is our paradise. And the best part is, nobody in the US knows about it, and nobody there even recognizes me.”
Nor is Ibiza the only place that Ricki is making a return to: she is also going back to The Ricki Lake Show, the former version of which ran for 11 years. Ricki says that the new version of the show, while continuing to be “fun and outrageous”, will be rather more sedate and a bit more grounded than was previously the case.
