David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly set to leave Los Angeles for the Big Apple. The celebrity couple is apparently in talks regarding a possible move to New York after having spent the last half a decade living in the City of Angels.
“Talks have begun about the next step for the family and New York is one of the options being talked about seriously,” a source allegedly close to the stars says. The Beckham’s first moved to Los Angeles following David’s landing of a very lucrative contract with the football team LA Galaxy. Given that that contract is set to come to an end next month, however, the family is now looking at what the future might hold.
“LA has given the family the outdoors lifestyle that they’ve loved for five years,” the source claims. “But now the children are getting older and the couple both look to the future in their respective careers.”
Ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has been able to successfully carve out a career in fashion since the relocation from the United Kingdom to Los Angeles, and the move to the Big Apple makes a lot of sense for her given New York’s status as the fashion capital of the world.
A source allegedly told British tabloid newspaper the Daily Star that LA Galaxy wants David on board regardless of whether he continues to play football, noting that he is a vital part of their future as the world’s biggest sportscaster.
