There is no doubt about it; families that are relocating, especially due to employment requirements, have needs. The transition to a new office and new place of residence can be stressful and exciting all at the same time. However, it is important the business is aware of what relocating employees need in order to make the transition as seamless as possible. So, before an employee moves the relocation department should have a handle on what these needs are.
As an employee that might be moving or the manager of the relocation department, you need to know that during a transition, things will come up. The Internet is a great resource, but often it is not as effective as having the knowledge ahead of time. All too often employees will find that they don’t know what they need until they actually need it and may not have the time to conduct research on their own.
