The old-world house where Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote the Oscar-winning script for Good Will Hunting is now on the market. Sure, the two actor-screenwriters moved out of the house a long time ago, but the house definitely has made its mark on Hollywood history.
The house is truly something out of a fairytale, though resting atop a hill in Los Angeles. Back in the 19th century, there was actually a farm upon the hill that overlooked L.A. – the area was subdivided into neighborhoods in the 1920s. Then people started moving in!
Located at 2327 Hill Drive, the home has more of a history than just being where Damon and Affleck wrote that famous script, and is better known as Braasch House and Ma Castle. Although the house has been empty for a few years, there has been no offer made on the property, which means no one is likely to move in anytime soon.
Because no real offers have been made, the price of the house has been brought down from $1.3 million to $779,000. In reasonably good shape for a house its age, it is amazing to hear that the windows were never painted. Also, the original hardwood floors are in excellent condition. There’s a new roof, flue, and a remodeled kitchen.
If you’re ready to move into the house, you’ll be glad to know that there is plenty of room for your family. Measuring in at 2,187 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it is a great space. In addition to many of its original features, there are stone floors, crown molding, fireplaces, and spectacular treetop views.
