Hammock Day in your new home

Hammock Day in your new home

When mid-July rolls around, it means summer is in full swing.  You might feel that you want to relax and slow down, at least for one day out of the year.  There is no better way to relax than to do so in a hammock.  Hammock Day is a little known holiday on July 22nd.  It was devised as a way to relax when the hot days of summer start to affect you.  It is also held on a day that is in the middle of the worst heat summer tends to have.  Summer tends to be hottest from July 3rd to August 11th.

If you have recently undergone a move or put a lot of items in storage during these warm days, then it can be great to utilize Hammock Day as an excuse to relax.  Hammock Day reminds you of the summertime you should be enjoying.  With your new home you might have a place to put a hammock, especially if you moved to a larger home.

Hammock Day is supposed to be a day when you do not work.  You should not even be cutting the grass.  It makes all those hours you had to take putting your items in storage worth it, since you can now relax for an entire day and it is okay because it is a holiday.  When Hammock Day started no one knows.  There is no history as to the originator either.  Instead, it is just a little-known holiday that can make you feel better after a tough few months.
