Location priorities for an office move

If you are planning to move your company, do you know exactly where you are going to relocate to? There are likely to be a number of different options that you could consider for the move and here are a few tips for narrowing down your choices.

One of the main factors you should consider for your commercial move is transportation links. Can your staff get to the new location easily by public transport or car? Can your clients reach you with few hassles? You also need to make sure that you can get to your clients easily – there is no point moving out of reach, as you could lose a lot of business.

Check out the local amenities. Are there shops nearby and other essentials? Both you and your staff might need certain facilities and you do not want to be too far away from essential amenities. Moving to a place where there are no leisure facilities might put some staff off coming to work for you, and they will need to be able to go out at lunchtime for rest and fresh air.

When you are considering an office relocation you also need to be aware that there may be some staff members who do not want to relocate with you. You will then need to find replacements; therefore, you need to move to an area where there are experienced people who want to work in your industry. Do not pick an area where people have already moved away in search of work, as your recruitment options will be limited.
