PricewaterhouseCoopers moves offices in LA

PricewaterhouseCoopers’ US member firm is moving. Accounting firm PwC US is to move to a brand new office space situated in downtown Los Angeles as of next May.

PwC is one of the largest employers in the downtown area and has signed a lease of 15 years with Brookfield Office Properties for relocation into a total of six floors and 135,000 square feet of space at the 52-story office tower at 601 S Figueroa, which is located at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Figueroa Street. The building will feature prominent rooftop signage.

The firm has around 1,450 professionals and partners, who are currently occupying 160,000 square feet of office space at 350 S Grand Avenue, where it has been a tenant for 21 years since 1991.

PwC says that while the brand new facility has less square footage than the one they are currently in, the firm is actually intending to increase its number of staff members and just make more efficient use of the space. “As we build it out, we are mindful of the flexibility we offer our people and the way we conduct our business with our very mobile workforce,” says company spokeswoman Stephanie Corzett. “We’re also always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, the new space will also have Teknion walls, which are demountable, allowing us to reconfigure our office space on demand.”

The move will accommodate plans for future growth, says the managing director of the company’s Southern California market, Brian Cullinan.
