Taylor Swift is considering moving to London, according to new reports. The 22-year-old singer is reported to have loved the capital city of the United Kingdom while in London to promote her new album Red, and is allegedly now contemplating a move there.
The country music superstar already owns four properties in the United States, and RadarOnline says that she is now looking to purchase a property in Europe. “Taylor is looking into expanding her property portfolio in Europe, and London is one of her preferred destinations,” a source told the website.
The source also noted that while Taylor may not make her London move a permanent one, any home she bought in the capital city would certainly receive plenty of use whenever she is in Europe on tour. The singer apparently already has two multi-million dollar houses in Nashville in Tennessee, which is the home of country music, as well as a property in Beverly Hills worth $3.5 million.
Earlier in 2012 it was revealed that Taylor had purchased a home in Hyannis Port in the state of Massachusetts, close to former boyfriend Conor Kennedy. The celebrity couple ended their relationship in October, but is reportedly already considering reconciliation.
The singer’s next purchase will be the result of financial practicality rather than a romantic whim, the source suggests. “She’s also a realist who knows a successful pop career can sometimes be short-lived,” the source claims. “She wants to invest the money that’s pouring in from the amazing success of Red into real property.”
